Mend & Move
Terms & Conditions
Last updated
These terms apply when you book or receive a service from Mend & Move. They don’t affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If you have any questions, please email mendandmovest@outlook.com.
1. About Mend & Move
Mend & Move is run by Alice Day and provides sports therapy, injury assessment, rehabilitation, sports massage, myofascial cupping, sports taping, strength and conditioning, and pitch-side and event first aid.
The clinic is at 3A Ferryboat House, Pylewell Road, Hythe, SO45 6AR.
2. My services
The right service for you depends on your needs, your goals and what we find at your assessment. I’ll always explain what I recommend and why, and you can ask questions or raise concerns at any point.
I may recommend a different approach, change a treatment, or decline or stop a service if it isn’t appropriate, safe or within my professional scope of practice.
3. Appointments and bookings
You can book online through Rehab Guru, send an enquiry through this website, or email me.
A booking is confirmed once the appointment details have been agreed and you’ve received a confirmation. Please make sure the contact details you give are correct, and let me know if they change.
Please arrive on time. If you’re late, your session may be shorter, and the full fee may still apply if it can’t be extended.
4. Prices and payment
Current prices are shown in the price list on this website and will be confirmed before your appointment. Strength and conditioning programmes and pitch-side cover are priced individually, and the price will be agreed with you first.
How and when to pay will be confirmed when you book. Any extra charges will be explained before you agree to them. Prices may change for future bookings, but a confirmed booking won’t be subject to an undisclosed price increase.
Sports massage packages are set up through the enquiry form.
5. Cancelling or rearranging
Plans change, so please give as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or rearrange.
- More than 24 hours’ notice: no charge.
- Less than 24 hours’ notice: a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment price may apply.
- Missed appointments or no notice: the full appointment fee may apply.
Fees will be applied fairly, and I may reduce or waive them in exceptional circumstances. To cancel or rearrange, email mendandmovest@outlook.com or use your booking confirmation.
6. If I need to cancel
Occasionally I may need to cancel or move an appointment. If so, I’ll tell you as soon as I can and offer another time. You won’t be charged, and if you’ve paid for a service I can’t provide, you’ll be offered a refund or an alternative.
7. Refunds and your right to cancel
If you book online or away from the clinic, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask me to start a service within that period, different rules may apply, and if the service has been fully provided, your right to cancel it may end. Please get in touch if you want to use this right and I’ll explain the process and any refund due.
If you want to cancel a prepaid package or programme, please contact me to discuss it. Refunds for services already started will take into account the work completed and your legal rights. Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights.
8. Your health information
To keep you safe, please give me accurate, up-to-date information about your health, medical history, symptoms, medication and previous injuries, and tell me about any changes before each appointment.
If relevant information is withheld, I may not be able to assess you fully or provide a service safely. Clients under 18 may need a parent or guardian to be involved and to give consent. How I look after your information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
9. What sports therapy can and can’t do
Sports therapy, massage, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning support your recovery, movement and performance. No particular result or recovery time can be guaranteed, as outcomes depend on many factors, including the problem itself, your circumstances and how closely advice is followed.
These services don’t replace emergency care or medical assessment. If your symptoms need further investigation or are outside my scope of practice, I’ll recommend that you see your GP or another appropriate professional.
10. Exercise programmes
Rehabilitation and strength and conditioning programmes are designed around the information you give me and the goals we agree. Please follow instructions carefully, use suitable equipment and work within the limits advised.
Stop exercising and seek advice if you have unusual or worsening pain, chest pain, dizziness, faintness or any other worrying symptoms. If you’re unsure how to do an exercise, ask me before continuing.
11. Massage, cupping and taping
These treatments will always be discussed with you before they’re provided. Please tell me about any relevant health conditions, skin problems, allergies or medication. Some treatments can cause temporary soreness, redness, marks or bruising, and I’ll talk you through the relevant risks beforehand.
12. Conduct and safety
Mend & Move is a welcoming, respectful and professional space. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour won’t be accepted, and I may end or refuse a session if it isn’t safe or appropriate to continue. Any payment or refund will then be considered fairly.
13. Liability
I provide all services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. You remain responsible for sharing relevant health information, following safety advice and telling me about changes in your condition.
14. Using this website
The information on this website is general and isn’t a substitute for an individual assessment or medical advice. I try to keep it accurate and up to date, but can’t guarantee that it always will be, or that the site will always be available.
This site links to other websites, including Rehab Guru for bookings. I’m not responsible for the content of those sites. Please don’t copy or reuse the text, photos or logo on this site without permission.
15. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with any part of your experience, please email mendandmovest@outlook.com. I’ll listen and work with you towards a fair resolution.
16. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one in place when you booked, unless the law requires otherwise.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This doesn’t remove any mandatory consumer protections you’re entitled to.
