Who it’s for

Sports massage isn’t only for athletes. I regularly see:

  • Runners and cyclists looking after tight calves, hamstrings and hips
  • Gym-goers who want to recover well between sessions
  • Desk workers with stiff necks, shoulders and backs
  • Manual workers whose bodies take a daily load
  • Anyone preparing for an event, or recovering after one

Clients come from Hythe, Dibden Purlieu, Totton, Southampton and right across the Waterside.

Your appointment

What to expect in a session

We start with a quick chat about how you’re feeling, your training and the areas you’d like me to focus on, so the treatment fits you. Towels are provided and you’ll only be asked to uncover the area being treated.

30 minutes
Targeted work on one area, or a shorter recovery session.
45 minutes
A focused treatment with a little more time to work through tension in one or two areas.
60 minutes
A full session that can cover several areas, tailored to your needs and preferences.

Pressure is adjusted to what feels right for you. A good sports massage can feel firm, but it shouldn’t be something you have to grit your teeth through.

Before an event, massage is lighter and shorter to leave you feeling loose and ready. Afterwards, the focus is on recovery and easing tightness.

If you’d like regular treatment, a package of three sessions (3 × 30 or 3 × 60 minutes) saves you money and keeps your care consistent. Packages are set up through the enquiry form, and you can add myofascial cupping to any massage.

FAQs

It can feel firm, but it shouldn’t be painful. I check in with you throughout and adjust the pressure to what feels right.

There’s no single answer. Some people come every couple of weeks while they’re training hard; others book around a big event or when tension builds up. A package can make regular sessions better value.

Yes. Before an event I keep the massage lighter and shorter so you feel loose, not heavy. Deeper work is better saved for afterwards or earlier in your training week.
