A little about me

Hi, I’m Alice.

Alice Day

Founder & Sports Therapist

Member of The Society of Sports Therapists

I’m the founder and sports therapist behind Mend & Move, my clinic on Pylewell Road in Hythe. I hold a First Class BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy and an MSc in Strength & Conditioning with Rehabilitation.

Alongside Mend & Move, I currently work at the University of Winchester as an Associate Lecturer and Clinical Supervisor for the Sports Therapy course. My experience includes working as an MSK specialist, supporting injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation and developing individual strength and conditioning plans. I have supported rugby players with pitch-side cover and continue to expand my knowledge, including the Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport (PHICIS) course with England Rugby.

I also completed a year-long internship at a private school in London, supporting long-term athletic development (LTAD) across youth athletes through S&C, rehabilitation and athletic development.

I believe treatment should be tailored to the person, not just the injury. I support athletes and active people, but you absolutely don’t need to play a sport to book in. Whether you’re struggling with everyday aches, returning from injury, or simply wanting to feel stronger and more confident, we’ll work out the right next step together.

Kind words

What clients say.

  • Alice was absolutely incredible, we went through all the areas I have been struggling with and I feel like she really went above and beyond to make me feel better. I would highly recommend and I will be getting regular treatment every couple of weeks

    Lilly
  • Alice is not only extremely professional and skilled, but also genuinely lovely, friendly and reliable. She always has a smile on her face and is punctual and professional every time. Her sports massages have made a noticeable difference throughout my training. I can genuinely feel the physical and recovery benefits. What I particularly love is that the sessions are also delivered in such a relaxed and calming environment which has a surprisingly positive impact on my sleep too. I would highly reccomended Alice to anyone looking for a skilled therapist who really cares about her clients!

    Kala
  • I received a 30 minute Myofascial cupping session on my back. Alice was really professional and comforting as it was my first time. The treatment was very successful and has relieved a lot of my back tension. I will 100% book in again!

Comfortable clothing you can move in. For lower-limb issues, shorts are ideal; for back, neck or shoulder issues, a vest or strappy top works well. Towels are provided for massage and you’ll only be asked to uncover the area being treated.

It depends on what you’re dealing with. Your initial assessment ends with a clear plan and an honest estimate. Many everyday problems settle in a handful of sessions, and we review progress at every follow-up so you’re never booking more than you need.

Mend & Move is at 3A Ferryboat House, Pylewell Road, Hythe, SO45 6AR, close to Hythe Marina and the village centre. Use the Get directions link in the contact section.

No. You can book directly online or send an enquiry. If something needs a GP or further investigation, I’ll say so and help you with the next step.

Every initial assessment ends with a written plan you take home. Follow-ups adjust it as you progress. Sports massage packages (3 × 30 min or 3 × 60 min) are booked through the enquiry form so I can set them up for you. S&C programmes start with a free online consultation, then a programme built around your goals, with check-ins along the way.

Not at all. Most clients are everyday people with desk-related tension, sore backs or tight legs from walking and running.

Yes. Add it to any sports massage for £10 by noting it when you book online, or mention it in the enquiry form.

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at 50% of the appointment fee, and missed appointments may be charged in full. If something unexpected comes up, just let me know as soon as you can.
